2014 Mountain State T’s of WV, Model T Tour, September 14-18, 2014
The Mountain State T's have decided to remain in the Northern Panhandle for the 2014 Model T tour. We will once again be staying in the small college town of Bethany. Bethany College is a liberal arts institution and was founded by Alexander Campbell in 1840. There are no fast food restaurants or gasoline stations in Bethany and needless to say. . . . no traffic lights!
We will be staying at the Gresham Inn that is a part of the Mountainside Conference Center. The members of the Bethany Eastern Star organization and the Women's Club of Bethany will be providing us with breakfast in the mornings and dinner each evening. Tours are being planned to visit a museum, a restored village, a cabinet factory, some private collections and Amish stores for shopping. We will have a get acquainted tour on Sunday afternoon, and day tours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bethany is located approximately 15 miles north of Wheeling at the intersection of Route 88 North and Route 67 East. Traveling Route 88 North from Wheeling with a truck and car hauler would not be ideal. It would be far better to follow WV Route 2 to just south of Wellsburg and turn right onto Route 67 East. Follow Route 67 East for about 6 miles, then turn right on Route 88 South and then right again into the Mountainside Conference Center.
Ladies: If you have some new craft or sewing project you are working on and think the other participants would be interested in learning about it, please bring your supplies with you and we will have an area in which you can teach others.
Won't you join us for the annual Mountain State T tour in WV. For additional information please contact Jim Bowery @ firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone him at 304-737-2883.
